Sometimes it's hard to feel like a proper grown-up. When you play all day with passion fruit and dragonfruit, arranging it until it's all just-so. Well: not what I thought I'd be doing at the ripe, plum age of 40.
Life is weird. Breakfast is charming. Two things most of us adults can agree on, yes?
So, bowls.
They're big. They're trendy. They're mega hipster.
And I really do love them.
Bowls for breakfast. Bowls for lunch. Bowls for dinner.
I'll take a heap of beautiful lovelies all piled into a big ol' bowl for whatever meal it happens to be.
Today, it was breakfast.
A piece of fruit didn't feel like quite enough. A container of yogurt felt kinda bore-a-doo. Granola was way too overindulgent.
So: bowl it was. A quick concoction of allthethings, allinonelittlebowlio.
It was splendidly simple. Surprisingly beautiful.
And stunningly tasty.
Bowls, man. They's the baes.
Pink Passion Fruit Yogurt Parfait Bowl
- 1 pint fresh raspberries
- 2 Tbsp raw honey
- 1 (8 oz) container yogurt (I used Blood Orange Noosa)
- 1/4 cup granola (I used Trader Joe's Vanilla Almond Granola)
- blood orange, rambutan and/or dragonfruit
- 1 teaspoon chia seed
Mash raspberries and honey together. Spoon into a bowl with yogurt and granola. Top with fresh sliced blood oranges, dragonfruit and/or rambutan (if desired). Sprinkle with chia, if desired. Enjoy!
